My second trip to Morikami definitely didn’t disappoint. The lantern lighting during the Bon Festival truly is a sight to behold. It is a beautiful tradition to pay your respects to those who have passed. You write a message on a paper lantern and they release them all lit on the lake. As the sun sets, it is truly breathtaking. Don’t miss it next year and be sure to get your tickets early as it sells out quickly.
